This project is driven by APRIKO, a startup group focusing on intelligence delivery in ICU, powered by data integration and AI predictive modeling. The vision is to provide smarter critical care with higher efficiency, lower cost and continuously self-utilized operation models. WEBSITE LINK
During the market research in China and literary review. We find out that one of the biggest challenges in the current ICU is the lack of effective support tools for outgoing clinicians to find, filter, organize, and annotate information that can be effectively handed off to the incoming team.
Informed by this, we design a scalable, interactive visual approach that supports both overview and detailed views of ICU patient vital data, as our pilot project.
1. Gathering actionable data
2. Presenting the information plays a major role in the care transition process.
3. The ability to group and prioritize patients can help a team manage its efforts more efficiently.
The model implementation uses data from a publicly available dataset called MIMIC-III. This large dataset contains multi-dimensional de-identified healthcare data associated with over 60,000 patients who stayed in critical care units. PDF LINK
