Silexica is a fast-growing start-up while still exploring and positioning its marketing strategies and business scopes. After shifting focusing on dynamic industries, the current branding, visual assets, especially the website can’t meet the vision and strategy roadmap anymore.
Thus the marketing team decided to relaunch the website, along with the visuals, to better presenting what Silexica has been achieved all along with plenty of great marketing collaterals and product insights.
The consistency of the whole website is nearly broken since the first launch in 2017, Silexica never stops updating the new content without following the style guides. Meanwhile, the navigation menu is very messy due to the same reason.
To improve those above two elements as the starting point, after we defined the goals and strategies from different views, here together with the head of corporate marketing and product marketing, we listed and sorted out all the up-to-date contents and map out the website.
Being a role as website manager and web designer, I warped all the discussions and drafted out the sitemap of the relaunches of the website, to make sure a better understanding and user experience when landing on the websites.
Here the biggest highlight is to add drop-down navigation to the top navigation bars for more information before clicking on the page.
When the structure is set, the next step is to make the wireframes and prototypes into details for every single page which works both content wise and visually appealing on PC as well as the mobile view, which is quite challenging and time-consuming.
After successfully got all the GOs with all the stakeholders, the final step is communicating with the agency hosting the Silexica website to implement all the new updates. In this part, I am working as a CSS developer and content manager on WordPress to make sure fewer implementation “GAPs” between the technical miscommunications.
The whole Silexica.com 2.0 relaunch is still ongoing till the end of 2020. WEBSITE LINK
